We need to fight federal overreach and protect hunting access! Last April, the Department of the Interior quietly announced the request to close millions of acres of federal public lands to all non-local hunters for moose and caribou

Dear Hunters,

We need to fight federal overreach and protect hunting access!

Last April, the Department of the Interior quietly announced the request to close millions of acres of federal public lands to all non-local hunters for moose and caribou. The public voiced their concern at a telephone town hall. Thanks in part to the public outcry, the DOI decided to defer pursuing this anti-hunting policy.

In a new press release this week, the DOI announced another telephone meeting to receive public input to pursue the same anti-hunting policy that could close 60 million acres of public land to hunting.

Nothing has changed regarding the specifics of this terrible proposal, except that the restrictive measure is now being considered for 2022.

More pushes for federal land “closures” are popping up with increasing frequency in Alaska and around the country.

We need you to call and voice your concern about Wildlife Special Action Request 21-01 (WSA21-01) to help protect our hunting access and fight federal overreach.

Call 888-942-9690 on Wednesday, November 17 from 7 PM-9PM CST (Passcode: 6071806).

The “Right On The Mark” podcast, hosted by Hunter Nation founder, Keith Mark, is available on iTunes and most podcasting apps. Let us know if you don’t see us on your app, and we will get it added. You can also find all episodes on the HunerNation.org website.

Make sure you check out episode 18 with Gretchen Smith. She’s a United States Air Force veteran who grew up in a challenging environment. Her father was a Vietnam veteran who returned home struggling with complications from Agent Orange and PTSD. After losing her father too soon, Gretchen founded “Code Of Vets” as a tribute to his memory.

In episode 19, we discuss deer hunting with Michigan Upper Peninsula residents Jordan Hoover and writer Richard P. Smith. Deer hunting in the U.P. of Michigan was once the envy of the state. Today, deer herds are in decline while wolf populations are increasing. ROTM’s host, Keith Mark, drills down on the details that should disturb every Michigan hunter (and all hunters).

In episodes 20 & 21 – Keith Mark welcomes Chad Belding, Host of “The Fowl Life” on Outdoor Channel, to the show. As a tornado warning siren blares in the background, Keith and Chad share a warning of their own for the American hunter. They lighten the mood some and share hunting stories and great times with friends and family. Chad is best known for his expertise in all-things waterfowl, and he shares his best tricks for success. Chad also talks about his American story on how he went from owning a portable toilet business to founding and growing a brand of outdoor products—starting as a t-shirt business to over 4,000 products in the Banded brands family.
