Subject: September Meeting
The Manitowoc Unit of Fish & Game announces their September meeting. The meeting is scheduled for the 10th at 7pm, Lincoln Park, Cabit #1. As always, meetings are open to the public and feature a brief business meeting, speaker and lunch. It is a great way to connect with other sporting men and women before the upcoming hunting season.
The September speaker will be Ranger Sara Nelson from Camp Sinawa. The Manitowoc Unit works to offer a variety of speakers and topics to inform members and the community on issues important to conservation in Manitowoc County.
The Manitowoc Unit also announced that they are seeking youth partnership opportunities in the community. The club is working to connect with area schools and other organizations to find opportunities to get more youth involved with conservation and the outdoors. This could be everything from supporting fishing & trap shooting clubs, to funding targeted education programs. Contacts and inquiries can be made through the mantyfg.com website. It was also noted that applications for FORWARD Endowment grants will begin later in September.
Manitowoc County Fish & Game works to promote and protect the rights and resources of sporting men and women in the county through a variety of projects and education programming. It supports youth programs to get young people involved outdoors. It is one of 25 clubs that work together in Manitowoc County. The community is also reminded to visit the organization’s new website, launched in January.
