This year, the Adopt-a-Kiosk (AAK) and Adopt-a-Dumpster (AAD) programs

This year, the Adopt-a-Kiosk (AAK) and Adopt-a-Dumpster (AAD) programs are looking for volunteers to help us bring convenient CWD testing and proper carcass disposal options to even more hunters in Wisconsin.

Adopt-a-Kiosk

Kiosks are set up as a 24/7 self-service option for hunters to drop off their harvested deer’s head for CWD testing.

Through the AAK program, individuals and organizations can sponsor a kiosk throughout the deer season at a level of involvement most convenient for the volunteer.

AAK partners are responsible for all costs and guidelines associated with their level of involvement, but the DNR provides all kiosk supplies.

Contact your local deer biologist, Eric Canania 608-341-9615 (southern Wisconsin), Matt Esser 715-284-1417 (west-central Wisconsin), or Curt Rollman 715-369-9399 (northern and northeast Wisconsin) if you are interested in participating.

Adopt-a-Dumpster

Properly disposing of deer carcasses is an important way hunters can help slow the spread of CWD in Wisconsin. Through the Adopt-a-Dumpster program, partners work with the DNR to provide convenient deer carcass disposal locations, especially in areas where options are limited or unavailable.

Partners in the program volunteer to sponsor a dumpster during the deer season, at a mutually agreed upon location with the DNR. Volunteers can donate the full cost of the dumpster or participate in the DNR’s cost-sharing program. See full details on our website.
