The Grounds are Ready, and the Season is Heating Up!
The weather might be taking its time to warm up, but things are moving fast at the Manitowoc Gun Club.
A huge thank you to everyone who pitched in for our Club Clean-Up Day yesterday! The grounds look absolutely fantastic, and it’s the perfect backdrop for the busy stretch we have ahead of us.
Help Us Shine: SCTP Triple Challenge (May 14 – 17)
The SCTP Triple Challenge kicks off this Thursday and runs through Sunday afternoon. As I’ve mentioned before, these large events are a major point of pride for our club—we are known for running things smoothly and professionally.
To keep that reputation glowing, we need your help. Please consider volunteering a few hours of your time this weekend. Whether you’re helping with squads or logistics, your support makes all the difference.
Save the Date: To say thank you, we will be hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Party at the club on July 18th. Join us for a night of great food and camaraderie!
Note: There will be NO regular shooting this Thursday, May 14th, due to the SCTP event.
Summer Trap League Updates
Our Summer Trap League officially kicked off last Thursday! If you haven’t signed up yet, there’s still time to join the fun.
League Format Change:
To keep things moving efficiently, we are implementing one minor change:
Traps 2, 3, & 4: Each team is asked to shoot at least 100 targets on these traps.
Trap 1: This will now be dedicated specifically to Doubles Trap shooting.
Upcoming: ATA Marathon (June 20th)
Ready to build your averages? We are hosting an ATA Marathon on June 20th. This is a great opportunity to get registered targets in for Singles, Handicap, and Doubles to help with your classification at upcoming ATA events.
Community Impact
We are thrilled to announce that the Manitowoc Gun Club has donated $1,000 to the Silver Creek Volunteer Fire Department. These funds were the proceeds from our recent benefit shoot. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped us support our local first responders!
I would like to offer a special Thank You to patriot & MGC member Dave Soukup. Dave donated the flag that will fly over our club this summer.
