Wisconsin Muskie School Cancelled
![]() |
The 19th annual Capital City Muskies Inc. Chapter Muskie School, scheduled for this Saturday, March 14, at Waunakee High School in Waunakee, Wisconsin, has been canceled. This year’s school will not be rescheduled, according to event organizers Geoff Crandall and Duffy Kopf. Instead, they are looking ahead to next year’s event in March of 2021.
A message on the chapter’s website, posted at 1:00 p.m. CDT on March 12, reads: “Governor Evers declared a State of Emergency in Wisconsin. Out of an abundance of caution, and concern for our fellow muskie anglers related to the spread of the coronavirus, we are taking the unfortunate step of cancelling the muskie school scheduled for this Saturday March 14, 2020 at Waunakee High School. We will begin the process of returning your registration fees next week. We are very sorry that we have to do this, and we will not be rescheduling the school this year; however, we will be back in March 2021. Thank you for your understanding.”
