Subject: Manitowoc Unit Meeting CANCELLED
Thru End of Year
Only two weeks after cancelling its October meeting, the Manitowoc Unit of Fish & Game announced it is cancelling both the November and December meetings. The Unit cited the weekend record new cases of COVID-19 in Manitowoc County even stronger than just a few weeks ago.
They have announced that due to no meetings they are behind on FORWARD Endowment call for grant requests and those should be available in the next week. The County Organization has also announced the cancellation of their annual banquet, usually held the last week of October. A gun raffle will go on with winners being notified following the October 22nd drawing.
The group has not offered public meetings since March of this year due to the pandemic amidst concerns for member health and safety. Officers have been discussing recent events and have agreed to stay on for the 2021 season, with approval of membership in January. Meetings are scheduled to return to Lincoln Park, Cabin 1, Thursday, January 7th. They suggest monitoring the Fish & Game website at www.mantyfg.org for updated news and information.
Manitowoc Fish & Game works to promote and protect the rights of sporting men and women in the county through a variety of projects and education programming. It is one of 25 clubs that work together in Manitowoc County. It was noted that directors of the county organization have been working during the pandemic to continue the business and good work of the organizations throughout Manitowoc County.
