MUSKEGON, Mich. (April 1, 2026) – Vergence is the coordinated movement of both eyes in opposite directions to maintain single binocular vision when focusing on objects at varying distances – this includes convergence, where eyes turn inward for near objects, and divergence for distant ones.

Vergence is also a sweet new standalone, super-middleweight hunting jacket from TUO.

The apex in midseason hunting jackets, Vergence tenders the perfect balance of feature-richness and action-ready benefits matched with ultra quiet fabrics. Commencing with fabrics, TUO incorporated a stretchy, uber-quiet and smooth 400g micro-tricot polyester exterior for the body and lofted berber fleece interior for warmth and comfort. Vergence is loftier and warmer than your typical midseason option and offers an exceptional warmth to weight ratio.

A 400g polyester shell is considered a durable, medium-heavy outer fabric that’s effective down to 10–30°F with moderate activity and can stretch down toward 0°F if you are hoofing through the woods.

It’s also prudent to note the design and fabric selection that went into constructing the arms, where motion rivals warmth in the chain of command. Instead of 400g polyester, like the torso, the underarms and side-panels feature a lighter 293g, 96% polyester/4% spandex blend with a warm fleece backside. As a result, your arms are freer to climb, shoot, and high-five.

Universally, Vergence’s micro-tricot polyester outer provides superior two-way stretch to sponsor motion and also serves to wick sweat away to keep your skin drier. TUO’s micro-tricot is impressively quiet, too, as well as highly resistant to wear, tear, and abrasion – characteristics important in both the field and washing machine. Lastly, Vergence’s advanced shell fabric with DWR treatment sheds light moisture and resists staining.

Perhaps the most noteworthy physical features of Vergence are its hood and facemask. The warm hood is constructed of multiple fabric panels, resulting in superior structure and fit. Moreover, the hood turns in union with your head, unlike conventional stationary hoods that block peripheral vision when you pivot.

Its easily deployed and tucked-away facemask is composed of a lighter 102g, 88% polyester/12% spandex mesh. The precision blend of materials produces a fabric that warms, breathes, and stays positioned on the bridge of your nose, aided rubbery silicone.

Other significant features include a five pocket assortment, which includes one zip chest, two zip waist, and two interior dump pockets; interior Lycra thumbholes for optional use; and a safety harness port.
