OUTDOOR NEWS FOR THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 10TH

Well, here we are in September already and it is goose hunting and bearing hunting seasons. I don’t know about all of you, but some of us are having problems finding spots to take geese in the mornings because we are finding many of them in the city limits around here. Afternoons are different, I’m seeing lots of geese and sandhills sitting in wheat fields all over the county. Have many of you noticed the number of deer we have in Manitowoc county this year? Wow! Every morning on my way to work I am seeing fields full of deer feeding in fields all the time. Wish my legs were working like they were back 40 years ago. Some of these deer are huge body, so hunters, good luck this year. Oh, if you turky hunters are looking for birds, just open your eyes, we have way to many of them in the Shoto area if you ask me. I could run over 4 a day because they are all over the roads out there.

Don’t forget the Francis Creek Sportsman Club Squirrel Hunt coming up on September 24 and it’s a great family event. You can hunt by yourself or as a three person team, so stop on out at the club for some informtion on the hunt.Check out Facebook for more info.  Good luck hunting everyone.  This coming Wednesday Sept. 13th the Manitowoc Unit of Manitowoc County Fish & Game will be holding their monthly meeting at Cabin #1 Linclon Park starting at 7 pm. See you there.
