Opening For Wild Rice Harvest, Date-regulated Waters

Date-regulated waters opening for wild rice harvest:

Oneida County:

  • Big Lake Thoroughfare – opens Wednesday, August 29

Polk County:

  • Balsam Branch – opens Tuesday, August 28
  • Big Round Lake – opens Tuesday, August 28
  • White Ash Lake – opens Tuesday, August 28

Washburn County:

  • Mud Lake – opens Tuesday, August 28
  • Little Mud Lake – opens Tuesday, August 28

 

The following list of waters will be closed for wild rice harvest in 2018:

Barron County:

  • Beaver Dam Lake
  • Red Cedar Lake

Burnett County:

  • Bashaw Lake
  • Big Sand Lake
  • Gaslyn Lake
  • Mud Hen Lake
  • Mud Lake (Town of Oakland)
  • Spencer Lake
  • Trade Lake

Douglas County:

  • Allouez Bay
  • Mulligan Lake

Polk County:

  • East (Lotus) Lake
  • Glenton (Rice Lake near Milltown)
  • Rice Lake (Town of Alden)

Washburn County:

  • Gilmore Lake
  • Long Lake
  • Spring Lake (Minong Township)
