NRA Announces Launch of NRAWomen.com

Fairfax, VA — The National Rifle Association is pleased to announce the launch of its newest digital property, NRAWomen.com, dedicated to the fastest-growing community of firearm owners, hunters and defenders of freedom.

“For a century and a half, the NRA has led our great nation in the protection of this unique freedom – our Second Amendment – for all Americans regardless of gender, race, color or creed. And, for decades, the NRA has been dedicated to paving the way for female gun enthusiasts,” said NRA President Carolyn Meadows. “NRAWomen.com is just our newest way to connect with and reach even more women and bring us together around the values we share. Whether your interest lies in personal protection, hunting or gun collecting, NRAWomen.com will be your hub for all your firearm-related needs and news.”

“The NRA has long championed women’s commitment to protecting the future of the Second Amendment, and more women than ever are now joining the NRA,” said NRA Publications Executive Director Doug Hamlin. “In response to our rapidly growing female membership’s desire for accurate information on all aspects of firearm ownership, NRAWomen.com will serve as a comprehensive online resource for women who seek the knowledge, confidence and empowerment obtained through personal protection, the shooting sports and an outdoor lifestyle.”

In addition to reading current news relating to the firearm industry, visitors to NRAWomen.com can learn the fundamentals of gun safety, find female-centric training, and learn to hone a defensive mindset in the event of a dangerous confrontation that could require an armed response. Budding and experienced huntresses and outdoorswomen will find information ranging from basic skills to taking their activities to the next level, from free hunter education to backyard bow practice to African adventures. And of course, the site will spotlight those women who steadfastly lead the charge in standing up to political foes, take aim at the range, shoot competitively, conserve wildlife and fiercely protect their loved ones from those who would do them harm. NRAWomen.com is for female supporters of the Second Amendment, all of whom are welcomed into a powerful sisterhood of women with shared values.

“Having sat in hunting blinds with or shot at targets alongside many of the women featured on NRAWomen.com, I am honored and humbled to be the steward of this exciting endeavor,“ said Editor-in-Chief Ann Smith, a 20-year veteran of the Publications Division, most recently as Senior Executive Editor for AmericanRifleman.org. “I look forward to providing our audience with the most accurate, informative and entertaining content possible.”

For a limited time, women who join NRA will receive a free NRA-branded Sherpa blanket. Go to https://membership.nra.org/WomenOfNRA/Join, and don’t forget to gift a membership to other women in your life—mother, daughter, sister, niece, wife or friend.
