Minnesota: Forever Ban on Wolf Season – Action Needed!

Minnesota: Forever Ban on Wolf Season – Action Needed!

0SHARES

Tomorrow, April 13 at 3 p.m., the Senate Environment, Climate, and Legacy Committee will hear Senate File 2062, a bill to prohibit any open season on wolves in the state irrespective of population status or any determinations made by the Department of Natural Resources. In plain language, the bill provides, “there is no open season on wolves.”

The hearing on SF 2062 tomorrow is posted as “information only” with no action expected on the bill after the hearing. However, every hunter in Minnesota who cares about the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation must make their feelings known on this critical bill. Minnesota does not have a current hunting season for wolves, so this bill is a preemptive strike by the animal extremists to enshrine protected status on wolves in perpetuity, no matter what wildlife biologists recommend in coming years.

Sportsmen need to start letting their state Senator know NOW that we OPPOSE SF 2062. Please use our Take Action button below to email your state Senator letting them know the North American Model of Conservation must be followed and to OPPOSE SF 2062.

Do not forget to share this important alert with your family, friends and fellow sportsmen, and urge them to take action by contacting their state Senator and opposing SF 2062. Sportsmen throughout the North Star State must stay actively involved to defend our hunting, fishing and trapping heritage for present and future generations to enjoy.
