Subject: Manitowoc Unit Announces Major
Meeting Change – IMPORTANT
The Manitowoc Unit of Fish & Game announces a HISTORIC change to their meetings beginning in January of 2022. After more than 50 years of holding their meetings on the First Thursday of each month, the members voted at their December meeting to move their meetings for 2022 and beyond to the Second Wednesday of each month. This change was made after months of discussion based on conflicts in recent years with other conservation programs and activities on the Thursday meetings. It is hoped the change will increase attendance and convenience.
Thus, the January meeting of the Manitowoc Unit will NOT be held on Thursday, January 6th but instead will be on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. The meetings will continue to begin at 7pm, Lincoln Park, Cabin #1, continuing a long-standing relationship with the City of Manitowoc and that facility. Monthly meetings frequently offer a speaker, along with lunch and refreshments. It is an opportunity to meet and talk with other sporting men and women in the area. These meetings are open to the public and membership is not required to attend.
Manitowoc Fish & Game works to promote and protect the rights of sporting men and women in the county through a variety of projects and education programming. It is one of 25 clubs that work together in Manitowoc County. The group was founded in 1907 and is recognized as one of the oldest known conservation groups in the nation.
