Leede Research, the Manitowoc-based marketing information company, with offices in Wisconsin and Minnesota has announced there will be a special Celebration of Life for Lee Davis, Jr. former owner of WCUB and WLTU in Manitowoc and founding partner in Leede Research. Davis passed away earlier this year at his home in Florida and family and friends will gather at the Manitowoc Yacht Club, Sunday, July 19^th, from 2pm to 5pm to celebrate his life.

Davis is a member of the Wisconsin Broadcaster Association Hall of Fame and has a storied carrier in broadcasting, finding his love of local radio and the Manitowoc/Two Rivers area.  Davis commissioned the Market Research class at the then Lakeshore Technical Institute to conduct a local broadcasting study that eventually led to the founding of Leede Research.  The name represents two Lee’s and a Dean, the founders of the company in 1982.  Davis was a staunch community supporter both supporting and involved in many non-profit and community organizations, including being a Past President of the Manitowoc/Two Rivers Area Chamber of Commerce.  He believed that local broadcasters were a critical partner in the success of their communities.  He sold his stations to Seehafer Broadcasting to keep the stations under local control and ownership.

Family and friends can visit the celebration and there will be a short program scheduled for 3pm.
