Johnsonville Sausage Signs as a Whitetails Unlimited National Sponsor
Whitetails Unlimited President Jeff Schinkten has announced that Johnsonville Sausage has signed on as a WTU national sponsor. “Johnsonville Sausage is an iconic American food brand that has great products that are universally loved,” said Schinkten. “Their brats are an outdoor cooking staple, and are found in deer camps every hunting season. They now have a great device, the Sizzling Sausage Grill, a countertop device that will perfectly cook five of their sausages in 10-15 minutes when it’s not convenient to fire up your grill. We’re excited to have them as a national sponsor.”
In 1945 Ralph and Alice Stayer opened a butcher shop and named it after their quaint hometown – Johnsonville, Wisconsin. They featured delicious sausages based on family recipes that dated back to 19th-century Austria. Responding to demand they started distributing sausages to nearby communities, and then statewide. A larger facility was built in the 1970s, and by the 1980s Johnsonville Sausage was being distributed in 47 states. Today, Johnsonville is headquartered in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, is the most popular brand of sausage in the United States and is available in all 50 states and more than 45 countries. The company remains privately owned. For more information visit Johnsonville’s website at www.johnsonville.com.
