Innerloc Unveils New Blood Bug
Innerloc®, a long time technology leader and innovator of broadhead design for bows, crossbows, and bow fishing is proud to introduce the new Blood Bug™!
Developed for small game and inspired by the Air Archery category of arrow shooting air rifles and specifically the new Umarex AirJavelin, the Innerloc Blood Bug is a special folding “Fixed Blade” design weighing only 50-grains. It zips like a dart from pneumatic arrow guns that were made to shoot lightweight carbon fiber arrows.
A patent-pending friction plug drags on the blades holding them in the shooting position. This innovative technology allows the blades of the Innerloc Blood Bug to remain in the open position when in flight and throughout impact but will pivot forward for easy removal from the intended target. The three-blade design easily opens a large wound channel creating an ethically lethal combination for small to mid-size game when paired with the 300 feet per second Umarex AirJavelin. The Blood Bug was engineered for optimal function with its impressive .040” thick blades providing a cutting diameter of 1-1/8 inch.
“It was an honor to partner with Umarex USA in the development of a lightweight broadhead that would provide field point accuracy and produce an impressive wound channel,” said Kevin Sullivan of Innerloc. “We enjoyed the engineering challenge just as much as Corey Brossman, host of Innerloc’s Out There TV Show enjoyed testing them. In true Innerloc fashion, it’s made to be deadly by design.”
