I was at the hearing and was not sure which way things were going to go. What I can say is from the feedback that I have received from sportsmen our area Sen LeMahieu , who serves on JCRAR did vote on both parts of this rule in supporting the wishes of the sportsmen on this issue.
There will still be drafting of permanent rules on these issues and as I stated the WCC feels strongly that the carcass movement portion is a very good idea and will be working with DNR to make sure they draft a better rule so that a hunter can take his or her deer home to process and have suitable places in each county to properly dispose of the bone without fear of being in any violation.
