The CDAC committee of Manitowoc County met on Tuesday night at the Viking Bow & Gun Club. Once again only 12 people attended the meeting, plus there was 11 committee members. The committee stayed with the same deer totals as in 2018 and it was a pretty fast meeting. Everyone has to remember, the DNR does not set the deer kill numbers for any counties anymore. The committee has that job now and to whine about how you don’t see any deer any more is not the DNR’s problem. The photo under the group shot shows you where all the 2018 Deer-Car kills were and the bottom photo shows the deer-car kills for 2019. So far this year there has been 108 deer killed on the roadways. The amount of permits for 2019 will remain the same as in 2018. Good luck to all the hunters in 2019, and remember to take a kid hunting please.
