Dash At the Dunes 5k Trail Run/Walk – A Sign of Spring!
Two Rivers – Woodland Dunes Nature Center will be holding its 9th annual Dash At the Dunes 5k Trail Run/Walk on Saturday, April 27th, 10:00 am to celebrate nature and the importance of children learning in outdoor environments.
The unique trail run will start behind the Aurora Medical Center, then into a forested section of the Ice Age Trail, finishing at the Woodland Dunes Nature Center.
This is a family-friendly event at a bit of a slower pace due to the roots, surprise “trail trolls,” and the natural terrain. Give it a go! Check out the spring melt, new buds reaching skyward, and a natural uniqueness that only this 5K can offer.
Refreshments and drinks will be provided to all participants after the race with an award ceremony to follow. All children 12 and under will receive a wooden medallion for participation.
There will be a shuttle bus for participants back to Aurora between 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
Funds raised at this event support nature-based education programs at Woodland Dunes.
