I wanted to touch base and make sure you saw our email from last week about the Civil Liability Insurance requirements that Tony Evers wants for gun owners in Wisconsin.

This agenda is beyond bad and it’s designed to make the Second Amendment completely unaffordable for all but the wealthy.

So please take a moment and read this urgent alert and then take action to help shut this scheme down in Madison.

We can’t afford to get fatigued or call it quits.

We have to keep fighting until all this legislation is completely DEAD.

Only in Wisconsin…

All over the country people are cheering as President Trump takes decisive steps with the Border Patrol and the Department of Homeland Security to make America safer.

The border has been sealed shut.

Federal prosecutors are putting bad guys in prison.

Violent illegals are being rounded up and sent packing.

It’s the same at the state level. All over the country, steps are being taken to restore public safety. In many states, this is being done by expanding the Second Amendment!

Unfortunately, the opposite thing is happening here in Wisconsin where Tony Evers has declared war on gun owners.

That’s why I am writing you today — to make you aware of a NASTY new gun control bill that is coming as the 2026 year of the Wisconsin General Assembly is well underway!

Capitol insiders tell us that lawmakers are preparing to introduce legislation modeled after the 2018 bill S.B.347 — that WIFC members stopped — that forces civil liability insurance mandates for gun owners in Wisconsin!

Please read this letter immediately and then sign and submit the petition that we have prepared for you!

This petition tells your Senator and Assemblyman in Madison to VOTE NO on this bill that would force gun owners to carry civil liability insurance as a condition of carrying a firearm.

I wish this was a joke. After all, violent crime has exploded here in Wisconsin thanks to the soft-on-crime policies already put on the books by Evers and his allies.

Rapes are up in Milwaukee over the last year.

Murders in our major cities have surged over recent years.

And aggravated assaults have skyrocketed in virtually every community in our state over the last few years!

The last thing Wisconsin should do is make it harder for law abiding citizens to buy firearms for self-defense…

…BUT THAT’S WHAT THIS NEW PROPOSAL WOULD DO; BY MANDATING THAT WE CARRY A JAW DROPPING ONE MILLION DOLLARS OF CIVIL LIABILITY INSURANCE AS A CONDITION OF CARRYING A FIREARM!

The civil liability requirements would make it all but impossible to buy a firearm in Wisconsin by:

• Making it illegal for Wisconsinites to carry a firearm unless we obtain a civil insurance policy from an insurance company, covering us for $1,000,000!

  Think about this. These radicals want to make us pay for insurance to own a gun — which is totally unconstitutional — while the murderers and rapists continue to attack!

• Likely forcing us to not only get this insurance policy for our household (like an umbrella policy), but potentially requiring this coverage for each and every gun we own!

  If that’s how this legislation shakes out, it could easily cost hundreds of dollars PER YEAR, PER GUN to own them!

• Instituting all of these insurance mandates knowing that similar proposals in other states have already shown how difficult or impossible it is to obtain this coverage!

  Of course, this is just the beginning. Once these bills get on the floor anything can happen via the amendment process, and it could happen fast!

Could we defeat this in court? Maybe. But our best shot is in the legislature, for sure!

There are A LOT of gun control bills in the hopper right now here in Madison. It’s only getting worse by the day.

My hope is that we can absolutely crush these bills with petitions, phone calls, and emails from grassroots gun owners. If we do that, I believe that would also help stop other gun control bills!

But I am counting on your support to make that happen.

• Deploy more direct mail updates like this one; it’s not as fast as other methods, but direct mail can’t be censored or stopped by Big Tech!
• Beef up our statewide email alert list; our email program is lightning fast and allows us to communicate with a lot of gun owners. We need to expand the size of this list quickly.

But we can’t fully implement this program — at the scale we need to run it — without your support. So please rush us a generous donation when you send in your signed petition!

If you can support $100 or even $250 or more, please know that this extra support allows us to punch that much harder against this bill RIGHT NOW before it gets out of control.

These tyrants aren’t going to stop. Gun owners need to dig in their heels and flood the General Assembly with pressure so that the politicians in “swing seats” back off our gun rights!

Our gun rights are a special thing. If we ever lose them, we’ll simply not get them back. We need to stand fast, right now, and do all we can to hold the line!
