Autumn Happenings at the Marsh, Saturday, November, 13 from 10:00-1:00
Join Jody Kuchar at Neustadter Nature Center at Collins Marsh for the first Print Making Workshop!
Dry Point printing is an old technique often called Intaglio. Intaglio printing is the opposite of relief printing, in that the printing is done from ink that is below the surface of the plate. … The design is cut, scratched, or etched into the printing surface or plate.
In this workshop we will make small prints. Maybe even ‘tiny prints’. The prints will be basic, so you learn the techniques of the process. You will etch, then print a design onto a plastic plate. We will also explore the fun of ‘mono-print’ using my little ‘press’, intaglio inks, and ? Everyone will end the workshop with art they created.
You can bring a brown bag lunch if you chose. Refreshments will not be provided.
*I will provide designs to choose from, paper, inks, the press and instruction. You will get messy at least once, I promise, so bring apron or wear clothes that you don’t mind getting inky.
*Workshop will last 3 hours. 10am to 1pm.
*Limited to 6 people (only 1 press is available). If interest warrants such, other workshops will be planned.
*Donation per person is $50 with all funds raised benefitting CEI.
Come out and play art with Jody at an inspiring location!
