Woodland Dunes Nature Center to honor National Trails Day

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Woodland Dunes Nature Center is celebrating their seven miles of outdoor trails this June 1st by offering free guided hikes throughout the day to honor National Trails Day, sponsored by the American Hiking Society. Scavenger hunts for children will be offered as well.

“This is an excellent opportunity to get to know the trails in your own “backyard” and discover new ones that are just a short drive away,” said Nancy Nabak, Communications Coordinator of Woodland Dunes and organizer of the event.

As an added bonus, those who hike the trails at Woodland Dunes will receive a free REI neck gator, or Nalgene. Participants who are over 21 years of age will receive a Buy One/Get One Free token for a craft beer or soda from Cool City Brewing Co. in Two Rivers. Wild Birds Unlimited of Green Bay is also offering a great raffle prize for those who participate.

“Hit one of our trails, or get turbo and challenge yourself to more. Just get out there and enjoy a walk on the wild side!” said Nabak.
