New magazine captures fall beauty
The latest print issue of Wisconsin Natural Resources magazine welcomes fall and all its colorful glory with the help of striking photos from the St. Croix and Namekagon rivers. From a new book by photographer Craig Blacklock, the images and accompanying story mark the 50th anniversary of the federal Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, signed on Oct. 2, 1968. Also in the magazine, learn more about the DNR’s own 50th anniversary with memories from past employees and a history of the state’s Spill Law. There’s a look at how the DNR “teams up for trees” with the Packers, Brewers and Bucks, and a tale of thru-hiking the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. Plus, a Hunting 2018 special section will get you ready for the season! Get your copy by visiting wnrmag.com.
