Close to two months ago, I became the newest team member at IOTR, The International Order
of T. Roosevelt. IOTR is an organization that is focused on protecting the right to hunt and fish,
and maintaining the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation. The honor, desire, and
memories I hold relating to hunting and fishing have truly driven my passion for the work I have
done in my career. My journey in the grassroots advocacy world has led me to take a role in this
organization as our National Engagement Director. This opportunity is one that I have dreamed
of since realizing the importance of being an advocate for hunters and anglers worldwide.
As our National Engagement Director, I am responsible for being a conservation advocate not
only at a personal level but also as an organization in the hunting and fishing industry.
Messaging, sharing my story, and the ‘why’ behind everything I do in the hunting conservation
world are the most important ways to stand up to the agendas of bad actors who threaten our
country’s hunting heritage. I take every opportunity to talk about hunting on social media,
podcasts, events, and whatever else. Education is important. Staying informed is important.
Hunters and anglers should never hesitate to share their experiences on any platform. I
encourage outdoorsmen and women to share their stories as often as possible. At a grassroots
level, being an advocate is how we break down barriers that are threatening to exist. One hunter
and a time. Share your story.

arena to protect hunting and fishing.
