I am back to ask you for your help yet again with this ongoing live investigation in the poisonings of domestic dogs and possibly wildlife in northern Wisconsin.
Below is today’s release from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announcing a reward that this federal agency is offering regarding the poisoning cases in northern Wisconsin. You may have already received this. My role here is as a backup to assist the federal agency is reaching you.
You may remember last week I emailed to you the joint WDNR & federal agencies release with a picture of the poison found by a WDNR warden at the site of one of the canine fatalities. This federal reward is for the poisoning case which spreads into the specific counties. However, this is a FEDERAL reward and the federal agency contact numbers for this reward are in the release and copied below for you.
- Contacts for reward release:
- U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Office of Law Enforcement in Madison, WI, 608-221-1206
- U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Midwest Region Office of External Affairs, 612-713-5360
The WDNR wardens involved in the investigation are not involved with the reward process, only the actual investigation. If you have questions concerning the investigation – and NOT the reward – the WDNR contacts remain Capt. Dave Zebro and Lt. Andrew Lundin. I certainly can help you reach them if you have any problems.
- Capt. Dave Zebro WDNR Northern Region, [email protected] 715-645-0055;
- Lt. Andrew Lundin of the WDNR Northeastern Region, [email protected], 920-846-2090;
- and, Joanne Haas, WDNR Bureau of Law Enforcement public information officer, [email protected], 608-209-8147
Thank you VERY much for your time and consideration today. Sorry for the longer message to spell out the process.
Whatever help you need from me, just ask.
Stay safe out there,
Joanne
