The September meeting of the Manitowoc Gun Club was held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 3rd.
UPCOMING EVENTS

- MGC BANQUET: Saturday, November 2nd.
BUILDING UPDATE: One contractor has been out so far to look at the building project. We are still waiting on the other two.
BANQUET COMMITTEE: Turnout at the banquet committee meeting was extremely low. We will be having another banquet committee meeting Tuesday, August 20th at 6:00 in the basement of the Wolff Insurance building at 4210 Michigan Ave. Anybody is welcome to attend. Donations for the banquet are greatly appreciated. If you would like to make donations to the booze raffle, or donate prizes, please see Brian Schulz. Cash donations can go to Gary Hanson.
TROPHY NIGHT: Trophy night will be Tuesday, October 22nd at MGC. Cocktails at 5:00 with food at 6:00. Discussion of trophies awarded came up. If we award the same trophies as we have in the past, the club will lose $98. Do we cut back on trophies? Do we raise entry fee? It was agreed to keep it as is, and discuss at the annual meeting.
FALL LEAGUE: Fall league will be held Thursday, September 5th – Thursday, October 17th. It will consist of (50) 16 yard, (50) Handicap, (50) 18 yard wobble, (50) Skeet, and (100) doubles (skeet or trap) You can throw out your worst 50 target event score.
VINTAGE GUN SHOOT: Vintage gun shoot will be Thursday, October 31st.
NEED LOTS OF HELPERS FOR:
–Shoot for Vets on Sunday, September 15th.
-The audit committee will meet after the banquet.
-The Vietnam Veterans Wall that Heals will be at the Expo from September 12-15th if anybody would like to see it. Questions or for more info, please see Ron Wiesner.
-The youth shooting program is done for the year.
-Thank you to everyone who helped edge and weed the trap fans. They look great!
-It was agreed to extend future summer trap league to the end of September.
-Scott Christiansen will be taking care of snow plowing again this year at the same cost as last year.
-We will donate $100 to Fish & Game again this year.
-Nominating committee was established. Thank you Tom Schulz and Brian Schulz for volunteering. Nominations will be in October, with Elections in November.
-Ron Wiesner gave a thank you on behalf of the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 731 for the donation to The Wall That Heals. It is on display at the Expo from September 12-15.
-Annual water sample was tested, and came back good.
-Our annual membership for WWF expired. We will renew for $100.
-The culvert at the entrance of the driveway off Clover Rd. is showing signs of deteriorating. It will be looked at before it becomes a problem.
Remember you can rent the clubhouse for private parties. The cost is $100, but if you clean up the clubhouse afterwards, then $50 will be refunded. See the bar director Rod Smith to make reservations.
The next meeting will be at 7:00pm on Tuesday, October 1st at the clubhouse.
