Subject: Manitowoc Unit May Meeting
The Manitowoc Unit of Fish & Game announces that their upcoming January meeting will be held on the Second Wednesday of the month, on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. The May meeting is at Lincoln Park Cabin #1. They begin at 7pm and are open to members and the public. There is generally a speaker and short business meeting. Lunch and refreshments are offered.
The guest speaker will be Jason Breeggemann DNR Fisheries Biologist. He will be speaking on panfish regulations, a Silver Lake survey and Pigeon Lake survey. He will take questions from the attendees as well right at the start of the 2024 fishing season opener. There will also be a brief update on the Manitowoc County Conservation Study which closed in April.
The unit reminds the community that memberships for the 2024 term are now available. Membership counts have been in decline in recent years and the organization reminds the public of the importance of supporting all of the 25 conservation organizations in Manitowoc County. Membership is important to impacting the future rules and regulations and to protect rights and resources. Manitowoc Unit dues are still only $5 annually.
Manitowoc Fish & Game works to promote and protect the rights and resources of sporting men and women in the county through a variety of projects and education programming. It supports youth programs to get young people involved in the outdoors. It is one of 25 clubs that work together in Manitowoc County.
