The Manitowoc Unit of Fish & Game will hold its January meeting, scheduled for January 8th and will return to Lincoln Park, Cabin #1 for the 7pm meeting.  The club will now be back at Lincoln Park for all monthly meetings until late fall of 2025.  Manitowoc Unit meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month, with the exception of July.  Members and the general public are welcome at the meetings.  Meetings feature a speaker, short business meeting and lunch and refreshments.

 

Speaker for the meeting will be Andy Janicki Lincoln Park Zoological Society Coordinator.  She will update the group on activities at the Zoo and plans for the future.  Fish & Game has been a long time partner of the zoo.

 

It was reported that Manitowoc County Fish & Game has complete a total redesign of its website, www.mantyfg.com.  The new site will go live on January 6th and features a totally new design.  There are updated calendars for Unit Meetings, Director’s Meetings and Special Events.  There is also a new interactive map function with locations of club meetings, area lake access and all of the 450 acres of public properties owned by the organization.

 

There was also announcement of the Manitowoc County Fish & Game Annual Meeting, scheduled for January 30th at City Limits in Manitowoc.  There will be speakers and information on the work being done in Manitowoc County by the 24 clubs in the organization. The group will also have a booth at the Country Visions Outdoorsmen Expo coming up February 8th at the County Expo grounds.

 

Manitowoc Fish & Game works to promote and protect the rights and resources of sporting men and women in the county through a variety of projects and education programming.  It supports youth programs to get young people involved in the outdoors. It is one of 25 clubs that work together in Manitowoc County.
