Press Release Press Release
To: The Public
From: The Manitowoc Unit – Manitowoc County
Fish & Game Protective Association
Subject: January Monthly Unit Meeting
The Manitowoc Unit of Manitowoc County Fish & Game announced that its January meeting will be held at the Lincoln Park, Cabin #1 on Thursday, January 2nd, at 7pm. Members and guests are asked to note the change in locations, as meetings have returned to Cabin 1 in coming months. It should also be noted that it is right after New Year’s Day. Manitowoc Fish & Game works to promote and protect the rights of sporting men and women in the county through a variety of projects and education programming.
Guest speaker for the meeting was not confirmed at the time of the release but there will likely be an update on the Nature Center upgrades at Collins Marsh. There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion. It was noted that the club will now be offering memberships for 2020. Membership was down slightly in 2019 and support is important to future activities.
The Manitowoc Unit meets the first Thursday of each month and meetings are open to the public. Those interested in the outdoors and especially youth are encouraged to attend these meetings. There is a speaker or presentation each meeting, followed by a short business meeting. Lunch and refreshments are then available.
