Subject: March Monthly Meeting
The Manitowoc Unit of Manitowoc County Fish & Game announced that its March meeting will be held at Lincoln Park, Cabin #1 on Thursday, March 7th at 7pm. The Manitowoc Unit has over 110 years of service to conservation in Manitowoc County and members are reminded to renew their memberships for 2019.
Guest speaker for the evening will be Ann Shebesta, area butterfly enthusiast. The program will cover the life cycle, habitat needs including the nectar and host plant preferences of the Monarch Butterfly. Attendees will be instructed on techniques used to grow their own plants, basic raising information, and other ways they can help the Monarch population thrive in their area.
The Manitowoc Unit also announced they are partnering with Seven Lakes Golf & Dining on a special Lenten Fish Fry event on Friday, April 5th at Seven Lakes. Sponsors will be providing donations to the club for every meal indicating they are supporting Manitowoc Fish & Game. Members of the club will be present selling memberships and special raffles. The event runs 4pm to 9pm and includes their Friday Lenten Buffet. Members are asked to support this special event.
The Manitowoc Unit meets the first Thursday of each month and meetings are open to the public. Those interested in the outdoors and especially youth are encouraged to attend these meetings.
