The gray wolf recovery stands as one of the greatest success stories in American conservation history. However, this magnificent animal is now being used as a political pawn, causing harm to wildlife and threatening our hunting lifestyle in many states. The answer to this problem is straightforward: senators Jon Tester and Tammy Baldwin have the power to request that Chuck Schumer pass the wolf delisting bill currently awaiting action in the U.S. Senate.
We need your help today (9/18) and tomorrow (9/19). It’s time to make our voices heard and protect the balance of our ecosystems and our hunting heritage. We urge you to reach out and demand the immediate delisting of the gray wolf.

Wolves have had a significant negative impact on our deer hunting and continue slaughtering our livestock and pets, with a growing concern that children could be next.

| Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin may ultimately cast the deciding vote. I’m asking you to reach out to her and let her know that as a Wisconsin hunter, this is an important issue to you and your family. Let her know that Wisconsin had the lowest gun hunting deer harvest in recorded history, in 2023, due to the unmanaged wolf population. Confirmed wolf kills on livestock and pets were up 40% in 2023. Wisconsin DNR reports within the 2019-2024 period there have been over 600 Depredations (kills) (67% Confirmed Wolf, 90% Likely Wolf) and another 100 Wolf Threats. Over 5,000 animals negatively Impacted by wolves during the last 5 years.
Tell her any negative personal experiences you have had with your livestock, pets or children because of the exploding wolf population. Also, let her know that you are aware she is up for reelection in November and that you will be voting in that election. | We are the largest grassroots organization that is on the front lines fighting to protect American Hunters and our Hunting Lifestyle. As you know, the unmanaged and skyrocketing gray wolf population in Wisconsin is destroying our deer herds, causing tremendous depredation to our livestock, killing our pets in record numbers, and is now threating the safety of our children. The collective cry was, “Something must be done!” Hunter Nation heard that cry and has been working hard trying to get the gray wolf delisted from the Endangered Species List so that each state could manage the wolf, just like they do all wildlife within the state.

It has been a busy time here at Hunter Nation. We have been working hard on behalf of our members, and to protect the rights of all hunters and our hunting lifestyle.
If we would all be honest with ourselves, regardless of what the mainstream media says, our lives are not better than they were 4 years ago. Even an old bowhunter like me can see that gas and grocery prices are at all-time highs and inflation is soaring. Due to an open southern border, millions and millions of illegal invaders are pouring into our country and stealing our blue collar jobs and bringing with them killing drugs and increased crime rates, the likes our country has never seen. The hard truth of the matter is that our hunting lifestyle, really all our Traditional American Values, are under attack. |

After several high-level meetings with the National Rifle Association, we formed a formal partnership with them to combine efforts on a nationwide Get Out The Vote initiative. This partnership was officially announced on Monday July 15, 2024, at an incredible Hunter Nation/NRA event in Wisconsin. Special guests at the event included Hunter Nation Board of Director members: Rock Bordelon (Chairman of the Board), Donald Trump Jr., Ted Nugent, Kris Kobach and Mark “OZ” Geist. Our previous wolf management plan was successful with a numeric population goal of 350 wolves in our state. Why are wolves still listed?
Despite what our critics say, we are not here to advocate for the complete removal or an unregulated open season to kill every wolf in the state. We are here to be your voice in the challenging process to get the gray wolf off the Endangered Species List, place in the states control with a numeric population goal so the DNR can place an accurate quota for a constituently protected wolf hunt. |
