The Best of What’s New in Fishing

Learn about DAIWA’s new rods, reels, lures, fishing line, and accessories at a special ICAST presentation on Wednesday, July 16th at 9:30 a.m. in the DAIWA booth (5630)

ORLANDO, FL (June 24, 2025) – When the business side of the fishing tackle world once again gathers in Orlando for ICAST, DAIWA USA again will kick-off its efforts with its annual first day ‘new product presentation’ in booth #5630 at 9:30am EST on Wednesday, July 16th. At the event, tackle retailers and distributors along with attending media will hear the latest on key new DAIWA gear, highlighted by the new Ballistic MQ LT freshwater/saltwater crossover and SALTIGA big game spinning reels, along with the new TATULA cork-handle bass rods and Outrage XV offshore rods.

Host Marc Mills, Senior Marketing Manager at DAIWA, again notes the presentation will be succinct yet highly informative, and invites all those attending to visit with DAIWA staff and sales reps at any time through the show’s closing on Friday afternoon to learn more about other new tackle being introduced.

“We’ll also be highlighting new rods and reels introduced earlier this year, along with our Lazer Impact Switch Hitter saltwater lures, PRESSO Rave2 freshwater spoons, XBRAID FULLDRAG X9 fishing line, and the new D-Shock rod and reel combos, which are pre-spooled with J-BRAID x4,” Mills said.

For those attending the ICAST ‘On The Water’ day on Tuesday, July 15th, DAIWA will present special demonstrations of the SALTIGA spinning reel’s advanced DRD drag system at 10am and noon. It will provide as close as can be duplicated of DAIWA’s latest drag technology in a real-life fishing situation.

Along with its marketing and product staff, DAIWA will be assisted at the Wednesday event by Jim Edlund with Traditions Media and John Mazurkiewicz with Catalyst Marketing. Mills notes attending media can reach out to them for added product information and photos on the DAIWA new products, along with other needed assistance.
