The 2022-2023 fishing season has been a great one so far, with anglers across the state catching a lot of fish.
But don’t worry – fishing season is not over yet! Fall is a great time of year to reel in a musky or walleye.
With water temperatures falling, muskies are on the hunt to fatten up for the winter and are looking for an easy meal. Try fishing where the bait fish are schooling with either an artificial lure or live baitfish, 11-16 inches.
If you decide to use bait fish 8 inches or longer, you’ll need to use a “quick-set rig.” Check the fishing regulations for details.
