The Outdoor Solutions team have hunted here numerous times over the past 10 years and make plans to go back every year. In fact we would go back just for the food, Cindy does an amazing job in the kitchen.

One of the most exciting hunts we have been on in a long time!  What sets this outfitter apart from the rest, is the fact that we were hunting in mid May with temperatures reaching the mid to upper 60′s at 8000 plus feet and snow had been melted off for some time now.

 In fact, our outfitter and his dogs prefer hunting dry ground, this may make it harder to spot fresh tracks, but their   20 plus years of lion hunting experience more than make up for the lack of snow.   

They also utilize modern technology to keep up with their hounds. GPS mapping units offer an exciting opportunity for the hunter to actually be a part of the chase and get a perspective of the rolls individual dogs play during a chase. They currently have forty hounds.  During any particular hunt there could be as many as four packs of hounds with guides searching for fresh lion sign.

This is a back country cabin based bear hunt in the famous Bitter root Mountain Range of Idaho.   All hunts are baited, with a few tree stand set ups, but mostly ground blinds.   These are mountain bears with a fairly long hibernation time frame.   These bears may be more slender than the Northern “flat land” bears.   However, this area is known for lots of color phase bears, ranging from black, cinnamon, chocolate, blonde, etc. (Full Details and Pricing Here)

This camp and hunt is on a 17,000 acre private ranch with no other hunters to worry about. Hunters can hunt right from camp on foot and off of Polaris Rangers. This ranch has a wide variety of terrain that hold both elk and mule deer alike.

Hunters can expect to see bucks in the 160 to 180 range with opportunities for bigger. Elk will range from 260 to 320, with bulls getting the 340 range during wet years.

This hunt takes place on a 4,000 acre private ranch and BLM near Montrose CO.   This is a great opportunity for a true elk and mule deer combo. Hunters will typically see plenty of elk in the 260 to 300 range with opportunities for larger. Mule deer in this area have true trophy potential ranging from 160 to 180. 

With only 5 hunters maximum per camp, hunters have the private ranch and landlocked BLM to themselves.

This hunt takes place on a 6,000 acre private free range ranch, located near Bracketville, Texas.  This ranch is known for several large herds of self sustaining free range aoudad sheep!  The main challenge is how well the animals can blend in and find cover in this South Texas brush.  

This ranch is mostly flat South Texas brush country, with some very mild elevation changes.  The main benefit of this hunt is the quality of sheep for the price.  We take larger rams here than on other Western free range aoudad sheep hunts.   Most all rams taken here are between 28-35”.

This hunt takes place on a 100,000 acre private ranch, located near Trinidad, CO.   This is the most mild terrain elk hunt you can find!   Lots of elk in the same lower country as the antelope and muleys!  

Most of the ranches are in the foothills and lower country.   We have been 100% success on this 1^st season rifle elk hunt for numerous years, and it’s an easy tag to draw!   However, only 9 spots total for the entire rifle elk hunt each year, so needs to be booked early.

There are numerous reasons to hunt with this outfitter, below are a few. They are a family ran operation and you will be made to feel like part of the family. They have been in operation since the early 90’s and have had 1000’s of acres under long term leases for years.

Their guides are experts in this area and most have been with them for many years, including 3 that have been there over 18 years! Oh and the fact that our mule deer clients are pretty much 100% on bucks scoring over 150, with the majority being in the 160 range and some hitting in the 170 plus mark.
