NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. (July 10, 2019) – The National Walleye Tour Presented by Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s will be bringing tournament action to living rooms faster than ever before as the NWT partner with Outdoor Action TV — one of the largest streaming video networks available for outdoors enthusiasts.
The NWT kicked off the 2019 season at an angler favorite – Oshkosh, Wisconsin and the famed Lake Winnebago! NWT fans can see the drama unfold by downloading the ‘Outdoor Action TV’ app now on Roku, Amazon Fire, or Apple TV device, or visit their website at www.OutdoorActionTV.com. This free television and mobile digital streaming platform gives outdoor enthusiasts the latest hunting and fishing programming at their fingertips and National Walleye Tour coverage will now be featured here.
A record 165 boats kicked-off the 2019 National Walleye Tour season with unbridled optimism. That bliss, however, was short lived as Lake Winnebago, typically one of the premier fisheries in the
Midwest, confounded the world’s best walleye anglers.
Wet, cold, and dreary conditions put both the anglers and the fish in a funk. To adjust, a few astute pros went with the tried-and-true, slip-bobbering technique, including champion Zach Axtman.
Join NWT’s own Chip Leer as he takes viewers through talking with the anglers, a weather-ridden weigh-in, and finally crowns our first champions of the season.
National Walleye Tour events are made possible through the sponsorship and continued support of these well-respected brands: Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s, Ranger Boats, Evinrude, Mercury, Lucas Oil, Triton Boats, Power-Pole, Berkley, Abu Garcia, Lowrance, Valley Fashions, T-H Marine, Atlas, G-Juice, Powertex Group. |
