Roger M Halverson, age 82, a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on Thursday, April 27th after a short battle with cancer. Roger was born in Manitowoc, the son of the late Wilma and Erwin Halverson. He was a 1958 graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc. He married the former Deanna Durbin of Two Rivers and following graduation from the University of Wisconsin, he began a long career in health insurance with Blue Cross Blue Shield, starting in Milwaukee. He worked his way to their top management team and served in a variety of capacities in Blue Cross Blue Shield state plans in Ohio and New York. He then started his own health insurance network business, which he operated until his retirement. He spent his retirement traveling the country in his RV, finally settling in Las Vegas, enjoying the weather and entertainment.
Halverson is survived by his son Troy, Atlanta, Georgia and one Brother and Sister-in-law, Dean Halverson (Sheila) of Manitowoc. He is also survived by close friends Danny and Margie Kiel of Branch. He was preceded in death by his wife Deanna and his parents, Erwin and Wilma Halverson.
