Among 2020 Democrats who have worked in Congress, few have worked solo on meaningful legislation. The Hill’s analysis of past legislative activity shows the vast majority of Democratic candidates who have served or still serve in the House and Senate have passed few pieces of legislation on their own. |

CNN’s Chris Cuomo faced fierce feedback on Wednesday after tweeting about a pro-gun rape survivor’s message. “Only in America,” the “Cuomo Prime Time” host wrote in response to an NRA promotional video featuring Kimberly Corban. The 60-second clip includes Mrs. Corban recounting the time she was raped as a 20-year-old living in off-campus housing. |

The legislation would require a one-time submission of fingerprints to get or renew a Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) Card or concealed carry license. The fingerprints would go into Illinois State Police and FBI databases, which track criminal records and prior FOID card suspensions or revocations. Opponents argue it would treat law-abiding citizens like criminals. But state Rep. Kathleen Willis, a Democrat from Addison, said Illinois already uses fingerprinting for a variety of safety measures. |

CNN anchor Chris Cuomo responded to several critics who slammed him on Wednesday over a tweet they said appeared to mock National Rifle Association (NRA) member and rape survivor Kimberly Corban. Corban appeared in an NRA ad advocating her Second Amendment right after going into detail how she survived a rape when she was 20 years old. “I’m a mother of two, and if a predator or anyone else tries to harm me or my family, they have to come through my firearm first,” Corban said. Cuomo reacted to the ad, tweeting “Only in America.” |

What happens when a “well-known” lobbyist for Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety gets arrested? Well, the mainstream media covers the story. With a pillow. Until it stops moving. That’s what happened when Robert Blaisdell was arrested for a host of charges relating to a domestic violence incident police say happened at his residence. |
