Earlier today, Ed picked through the bones of Eric Swalwell’s laughable gun control platform, pointing out a very real gap in the congressman’s grasp of the Second Amendment. But the longshot POTUS candidate isn’t the only member of his party that seems to have trouble grasping the finer points of the Bill of Rights. |

Contrary to the rhetoric of many gun control advocates, the Second Amendment’s protection of the individual right to keep and bear arms is not a malevolent, outdated barricade to peace that must be demolished or diminished in the name of public safety. |

Over the last few days Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) has continually teased a “really big rally” where he’d unveil his gun control proposal outside of the National Rifle Association’s headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia on Monday. |

The tragedy at the Virginia Beach Municipal Center fits an all too familiar pattern—yet another mass shooting in a place the victims were banned from carrying guns. The most lives are claimed in places where people can’t defend themselves on equal footing. It’s not a coincidence the attack occurred in a public building filled with public employees prohibited from carrying handguns, concealed or otherwise. |

Yesterday, the California Department of Justice officially submitted proposed “emergency” regulations that, if adopted, would require federally compliant California driver license or identification cards whenever attempting to purchase a firearm and, beginning July 1, 2019, any ammunition in the state of California. |
