The House Judiciary Committee and the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee are scheduled to hold hearings on multiple gun bills in the coming days. |

On February 20th, the Arizona state House Committee on Public Safety voted 4-3 to pass House Bill 2693 to improve the ability of law-abiding citizens to defend themselves and their families by reducing arbitrary boundaries that leave them defenseless. HB 2693 will now be considered by the House Committee on Rules for constitutionality before it goes to the House floor for a vote. |

Senate Bill 150 has been referred to the Kentucky state House Judiciary Committee for further consideration. |

On February 19th, the West Virginia state House Judiciary Committee voted 12-11 to pass House Bill 2519, the Campus Self-Defense Act. HB 2519 would ensure that law-abiding adults are not stripped of their right to self-defense when they cross an arbitrary boundary onto a college campus. It will now go to the House Finance Committee for further consideration. |

Recently, there has been misinformation spread that gives the impression that NRA-ILA does not oppose so-called “universal” background checks and “red flag” legislation in Minnesota. In a time where the Second Amendment community needs to band together to fight against the influx of gun control measures being introduced, it is strange to see so-called “pro-gun” organizations that purport to support the Second Amendment attempting to create division by spreading these rumors. |
