Hi all-
Hope everyone is doing ok in these chaotic times. Its been challenging with attempting to keep up a household, work, home and woods improvement projects, and “teach”. Hopefully things will calm down relatively shortly and there will be more availability of things to do with the kiddos. We miss fun art and nature events, museums, and library!
So we had discussed during our last meeting that Woodland Dunes is doing a massive expansion project with some really cool ideas to help with sustainability, eco-friendly, etc like goethermal heating and cooling, bird-friendly windows, repairing the chimney to allow swifts to continue nesting, permeable paving in lots, and much larger meeting area. I am a member and get their newsletters, flyers. Here is my continuation of Jim Hill bringing this up originally at our meeting… Dunes has a donor who will match up to $250,000 from the community and supporters. We have a decent amount of money in our accounts… some of which I am asking you, our members, to donate towards Woodland Dunes renovation to help meet their match. I will also contact Jim Knickelbine (Director) if there is any sort of recognition involved with a donation. I am suggesting we do between $1 and $2,000 for them? Please advise on any thoughts, etc and once we get some input, I will get the ball rolling.
As you all know, all events are on hold for now…. Al and I talked today and we are cancelling June Family Day…. so far the brat fry is still on… (Call Al for volunteering 920-901-5166)
Thoughts? Concerns? Comments?
Thank you everyone.
