New for 2026: Longer St. Croix Mojo Musky Rods
- By The Fishing Wire
Park Falls, WI – St. Croix Mojo Musky is a wildly popular and revered rod series among musky anglers for more than a few reasons. It’s a complete series that supports any musky presentation or technique, representing one of the best overall performance-to-value propositions available in the market. Combining lightweight sensitivity with extreme durability, Mojo Musky features St. Croix’s award-winning TRIGON handle and angler-adaptable GRASP II reel seat, offering anglers a level of comfort and control unavailable on any other musky rod series.
For 2026, St. Croix Rod expands the angler-favorite Mojo Musky lineup with three all-new longer models – a 10’ heavy power JOMFG100HF2, a 10’ extra-heavy power JOMFG100XHF2, and a 10’6” heavy power JOMFG106HF2. These all-new 10′ and 10’6″ models feature two-piece construction with a 70/30 split.
Longer musky rods are trending for good reason. When combined with heavy or extra-heavy power, additional rod length helps anglers cast heavy baits farther, set hooks more efficiently, and execute figure-eights and the other finishing moves from higher boat decks more effectively.

All Mojo Musky blanks feature acclaimed, premium SCIII carbon-fiber construction, strengthened by Fortified Resin System (FRS) technology, and smooth and strong actions courtesy of IPC mandrel technology. Blanks are mated to proven, black stainless-steel guide frames with trouble-free stainless-steel rings. Mojo Musky rods feature a darkened, matte version of the familiar Mojo-purple color.
Aside from the benefits of increased control and casting accuracy, angler fatigue – an ever-present concern and challenge in musky fishing – is addressed by Mojo Musky’s anthropometric TRIGON handle design. The unique TRIGON handle recognizes that the human hand does not form a circle when closed and features a curved, triangular profile with a rounded inner apex and a flattened top curve to better fit the human hand. The result is a more comfortable grip – on both split-grip and full-grip Mojo Musky models – so anglers can fish longer while exercising increased control to maximize power and accuracy.
GRASP technology provides an upsized palming-seat design that helps anglers keep their wrist in consistent alignment with the rod for less fatigue and reduced opportunity for injury when casting and retrieving large, heavy lures. Mojo Musky’s GRASP II seat adds the aspect of adaptability, putting anglers squarely in the driver’s seat when it comes to making decisions about how they want to fish. GRASP II technology gives anglers three different options in every Mojo Musky rod. An interchangeable trigger system on the reel seat allows anglers to quickly and securely switch between a full-sized GRASP pistol grip, a standard palming trigger, or no trigger at all with a flat covering the attachment area. The GRASP II system requires no tools, and a premium accessory pouch containing all GRASP II attachments is included with each rod. Ultimately, Mojo Musky’s TRIGON handle and GRASP II reel seat combine to give musky anglers new levels of comfort, control, and adaptability.
St. Croix’s all-new 10’ and 10’6” Mojo Musky models will be introduced at ICAST 2025 and are expected to be available to dealers and anglers on or about December 1, 2025.
