Subject: March Meeting & 2021 Plans
The Manitowoc Unit of Fish & Game held its first meeting since March of 2020 on March 4th at the Lincoln Park, Cabin #1 location. This was the first opportunity for the organization to catch up on business and make plans for the balance of the 2021 meeting schedule. The meeting began with a moment of silence for three club members who passed during the past year. There was also an update of activities throughout the county, and it was announced that the 25 organizations that make up Manitowoc County Fish & Game are planning to hold their banquet in late October.
There were just under 30 members in attendance. Officers and directors elected in 2020 agreed to continue to serve through 2021 and this offer was accepted by vote of the membership. It was also determined that the Manitowoc Unit will only schedule meetings for May 6th and September 2nd at the Lincoln Park, Cabin 1 location. While the group hopes to also hold its November and December meetings as usual at the Manitowoc Gun Clubs, this will be decided in September based on pandemic conditions.
It was also voted that anyone who has signed a membership in 2020 or anyone doing so through the end of the year in 2021, will automatically be logged as members in both years. The club will also be doing a mailing to recent members to give them an opportunity to renew.
Manitowoc Fish & Game works to promote and protect the rights of sporting men and women in the county through a variety of projects and education programming. It is one of 25 clubs that work together in Manitowoc County. Meetings are open to the public and youth attendance is welcome to connect them to local conservation activities.
