The Manitowoc Unit of Manitowoc County Fish & Game announced that its January meeting will be returning to Lincoln Park, Cabin #1 on Thursday, February 7th at 7pm. The Manitowoc Unit has over 110 years of service to conservation in Manitowoc County and members are reminded to renew their memberships for 2019.
Guest speaker for the evening will be Roger VanderLogt, outdoor writer and avid sportmen. Roger will be sharing his experiences following the recent National Shot Show in Las Vegas, January 22 to 25th. This is one of the largest shows of its kind in the world for shooting enthusiasts boasting almost 2,500 exhibitors and almost 12.5 miles of aisle space.
The Manitowoc Unit is one of over 25 organizations that make up Manitowoc Fish & Game Protective Association in Manitowoc County. Founded in 1907, the organization is recognized as a leader in conservation in Wisconsin and served as a model nationally. The organization works to protect the rights of sporting men and women and promotes conservation and related education.
The Manitowoc Unit meets the first Thursday of each month and meetings are open to the public. Those interested in the outdoors and especially youth are encouraged to attend these meetings.
