Subject: Manitowoc Unit February Meeting
The Manitowoc Unit of Fish & Game reminds the community of the change to their meetings that began in January. It is noted that there is NO MEETING on Thursday, February 3rd. After more than 50 years of holding their meetings on the First Thursday of each month, the members voted to move their meetings for 2022 and beyond to the Second Wednesday of each month.
Thus, the February meeting of the Manitowoc Unit will be on Wednesday, February 9th, 2022. The meetings will continue to begin at 7pm, Lincoln Park, Cabin #1, continuing a long-standing relationship with the City of Manitowoc and that facility. Monthly meetings frequently offer a speaker, along with lunch and refreshments. It is an opportunity to meet and talk with other sporting men and women in the area. These meetings are open to the public and membership is not required to attend.
It was also announced that due to delays in getting the final trust information, the Gift Committee of the FORWARD Endowment will not be able to meet until March to review requests and award grants for the 2021 giving season. Members of the Gift Committee have the related requests and are expected to meet before the March meeting of the unit.
Manitowoc Fish & Game works to promote and protect the rights of sporting men and women in the county through a variety of projects and education programming. It is one of 25 clubs that work together in Manitowoc County. The group was founded in 1907 and is recognized as one of the oldest known conservation groups in the nation.
