Press Release
Date: 07/27/18
From: Lt. Mark Schroeder
There will be two meetings to discuss bow hunting in the City of Manitowoc. The one hour meetings will be held in
the lower level meeting room at the Manitowoc Police Department August 7th, 2018 beginning at 12:00 p.m. and
6:30 p.m.
Both meetings will cover the same topics of discussion such as the purpose for the hunt, the type of permissions
needed to bow hunt in the city, and the rules set by the city to conduct a safe hunt.
Bow hunting and land owner applications can be obtained and submitted on the City of Manitowoc website, under
the Police Department page or at the front counter of the Police Department Monday thru Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm.
New this year, all bow hunting and land owner applications need to be returned to the Manitowoc Police Department
by September 7th in order to be processed by the start of the archery season. If applications are received after this
date there may be a delay in approval. All bow hunting applicants requesting to hunt private land must have a land
owner’s application attached to your bow hunting application when turned in, as they will be denied until such
paperwork is obtained.
