YOUTH SHOOTING: Our youth program is now up to 26 kids. Prior to the club meeting, we had a youth shoot planning meeting to make sure everything is going to be lined up for another successful shoot. Additional Port-a-potties will be brought in with 2 wash stations. We will have a semi load of targets delivered April 30th. Walkie Talkies are taken care of. Additional dumpsters will be brought in. A second AED will be borrowed from Branch Fire Department. Food is handled. Wally is calling to see about borrowing the extra picnic tables again. We could use some extra coolers again if anyone has any available (please label yours!) So far there are 400 shooters signed up for trap, 219 for sporting clays, and 128 for skeet.
Scott has the sign up sheets posted on the bulletin board at the clubhouse. We need lots of help to make this shoot run smoothly. A minimum of 12 trap markers during all times of the shoot will give enough help to allow a few minutes of a break time to the other helpers in between squads. We also need markers and pullers on the skeet range. Please sign up on the sheet if you are able to help out (even for a couple hours) Scott has received the tickets for the youth raffle. If you would like some tickets to sell, or a poster to put up, please contact Scott Skattebo at (920)629-0370. The youth shoot will be held Thursday, May 16th through Sunday, May 19th this year. Donations are also greatly appreciated. Scott has the list of donors from last year if anyone would like to see it to get donations again this year. Here is a link to the donation letter.

CLUBHOUSE RESTROOM ADDITION: Scott met with the architect and went through the clubhouse. He should have a preliminary drawing done by the end of the week, with a final drawing and permits handled by the end of the month.
-Monday, April 8th at 7:00 pm will be the Spring Hearing at UW Manitowoc.
-Ron Wiesner talked about The Wall That Heals that the Vietnam Vets have arranged to be brought in. It will be set up at the Expo Grounds September 12-16. This is a 3/4 scale replica that is 300′ long, and has 58,000 names on it. It is carved out of stone, and you are able to get rubbings off this one much easier than previous displays. This wall costs $10,000 to be brought in and set up. The display is also educational. If anybody would like to make a donation to the wall fund, please see Gary Hanson. He will take all the donations, and then write a check from MGC. If you would like additional information on the display see Ron Wiesner.
-We had many positive comments at the last Lake Shore Challenge shoot again. There was a total of 68 rounds shot (35 – 16yd, 33 – handicap) There weren’t any objections for our club to be involved in it again next year.
-Summer league events will be 500 – 16yd trap, 400 skeet, and a 300 doubles (lewis)
-Please make sure you renewed your membership for 2019.
Remember you can rent the clubhouse for private parties. The cost is $100, but if you clean up the clubhouse afterwards, then $50 will be refunded. See the bar director Rod Smith to make reservations.
The next meeting will be at 7:00pm on Tuesday, May 7th at the clubhouse.
Thank You,
Nick Sieracki
