Subject: Life’s All Here Offering Community Presentations
Life’s All Here is a new community website designed to be a single source of information on everything that is Manitowoc County. The site’s motto is One Place, One Voice, One Message and it is the result of the Vision 2022 program of community visioning and collaboration. CEDAR Collaborative, a new Manitowoc community development organization owns and operates the new www.lifesallhere.com Manitowoc County site. The site offers information on jobs, food, entertainment, community organizations, pet friendly activities and attractions that make this area unique.
The site launched on October 1st and has already generated more than 5,000-page views, connecting business, organizations and governments in Manitowoc County. CEDAR Collaborative hopes that the new site will be a focal point in retention and recruitment of the area workforce by sharing the positive things that make Manitowoc County a special place to live, work and play. CEDAR leadership has been making presentations to organizations in the community on the site and its value in collaboration and future development. The group has already met with the Chamber, Progress Lakeshore, Manitowoc Area Visitor and Convention Bureau and several other community groups. Other presentations are on the schedule and CEDAR leaders are offering the 15 to 30-minute presentations to any group who would like to learn more and consider future partnerships.
“We have built the site as a community resource and connecting point,” said Mary Maurer, President of CEDAR Collaborative. “We will be doing Stage 2 activities that will provide community organizations with additional resources and ways to collaborate that can help them be more efficient and gain new participation.” Mary indicates that organizations can register on the site to be part of future activities and can request a presentation at their meetings. The goal it to create better collaboration between organizations and offer areas to store and share content that can be used to advance the community.
