As of April 12, 2024, sturgeon are beginning to gather at various locations in the Winnebago area:
Princeton Dam, Upper Fox River: No sturgeon have been observed yet.
Sturgeon Trail, New London, Wolf River: Sturgeon can be seen cruising.
Bamboo Bend, Shiocton, Wolf River: Sturgeon can be seen cruising.
Shawano Dam, Wolf River: No sturgeon have been observed yet.
De Pere Dam, Lower Fox River: No sturgeon have been observed yet, but they could start showing up in the next couple of weeks.
Peshtigo Dam, Peshtigo River: A few sturgeon were seen from the viewing platform in Peshtigo, along with a mix of walleyes and suckers spawning. |
