Lakeshore TU is a local all-volunteer organization that takes a positive, hands-on approach to conserving our cold-water resources, improving the quality of our local public recreation lands, and teaching our kids the value of the outdoor experience. Celebrating more than 40 years of service, Lakeshore TU is active in Calumet, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, and Sheboygan Counties. Our conservation work is focused on habitat restoration and the conservation of local cold-water streams.  As the Adopt-a-Fishery partner of the DNR for the Onion River Public Fishery, we are committed to preserving a high-quality public trout fishing resource in Sheboygan County. Our members also lead the Water Action Volunteers (WAV) water testing programs in Sheboygan and Manitowoc Counties. Our youth outdoor education is focused on Trout-in-the-Classroom and our annual STREAM Camps. We partner with youth organizations like the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, YMCA Camp Y-Koda, and local schools to educate kids about water ecology, conservation, fishing, and the outdoors.

Lakeshore TU has a significant local impact and has been recently recognized by the Wisconsin TU, Wisconsin DNR, Wisconsin Conservation Congress, Wisconsin Wildlife Federation, and Sheboygan County Conservation Association. Our recent awards are:
