The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is now accepting comments on the potential economic impacts of a new permanent rule impacting lake whitefish fisheries in Lake Michigan. Specifically, this rule regulates trawling gear used for harvesting whitefish in a portion of Lake Michigan.
The department has posted the economic impact analysis (EIA) for the permanent rule here.
