Hello Winnebago System Sturgeon Spearing Enthusiasts,
It’s been a little over a week since the 2020 sturgeon spearing season concluded on the Winnebago System. Our DNR fisheries crew has been working hard cleaning up registration equipment and entering data that were collected at our registration stations during the season. All of the data have been entered and I’ve been able to put together some very basic summary reports from the season. The links below show the: 1) 2020 successful spearer list, 2) harvest numbers by registration station, lake area, and average length-weight of fish harvested from Lake Winnebago and the Upriver Lakes, and 3) harvest numbers by county of spearer residence.
